We at Cadbury Indian Sub Continent business are committed to responsible energy management in all our activities, products and services. We shall endeavor to transform energy conservation into a strategic business goal fully aligning with the technological advancements by improving the skill and knowledge of employees for sustainable development.
Our objectives are to use fuels as efficiently as possible, reduce the amount of pollution - particularly greenhouse gas emissions - caused by our energy consumption, reduce wherever possible our dependence on fossil fuels through the use of renewable energy and be the lowest specific energy consumer in the industry we operate.
We plan to achieve these objectives by the following:
- Establishing a sustainable energy management cell with key deliverables
- Closely monitoring and controlling energy consumption
- Upgrading hardware and employing cleaner and efficient technologies
- Benchmarking continuously our performance against the best in the world
- Carrying out regular internal and external audits to identify areas for improvement
- Promoting awareness among all employees of Cadbury
- Recognizing the efforts of employees and their family members in energy conservation initiatives
- Annually reviewing our energy performance to prioritize the action plans
